Cathy Batchelor, the Director of Batchelor Communication Services, was featured in an article in the June 16, 2008 issue of ADVANCE magazine, along with Amelia Brilhart. The article was entitle "Joint Atention in Autism: A Pivotal Skill for Literacy Learning." In March 2008, Ms. Batchelor presented information about the role of speech-language pathology in emergent and early literacy with Ms. Brilheart at the Speech-Language Hearing Association of Virginia (SHAV) annual convention.
Ms. Batchelor also presented "The Pivotal Role of the SLP in Community-Based Instruction" with Amy Curling, Clinical Fellow, at the 2008 SHAV convention.
